Like a forty year old virgin, I came late to this pleasure. I spent many years working with copywriters who loved radio and I used to leave them to it, thinking it was their exclusive domain. I didn’t really have much interest in the medium, preferring real images over the ‘pictures of the mind’ that radio creates. Nowadays, I wouldn’t say I was a particular expert in the discipline but, like the forty year old, having found it, I do thoroughly enjoy it.
